Intro to NingIf you are new to Ning, this mini-course is a must! We’ll walk you through how to use your collaborative space effectively—even set up a new Ning for your class. Learn how to get the most from your space, invite friends, create groups, embed videos, upload pictures and audio clips, widgets, turn off the ads and much more.

Course Requirements: Successful completion of the course depends on participating in online (asynchronous) discussions, reading assigned articles, using interactive tutorials and games and taking course quizzes. All work needs to be completed by the last day of the course for CPDU's to be awarded. This course is designed to be completed in 5 hours at the computer. The course will remain open for several weeks following the last official day of class to allow access to activities and discussion forums.

Technical Requirements: PC or Mac with high-speed access to the Internet is best. If you are working from school, be advised that some links may be blocked by school filters--especially in the case of Website Investigation activities. Courses may contain Flash video and movies--downloading the most current versions of the free Flash Player and your Browser (Firefox is preferred) is recommended.
